Bodyguard Ransom - Chris Bradford


This book is about how a 14 year old bodyguard saves super rich twin sisters on a super expensive luxury yacht from being killed by pirates with guns and bombs.
His name is Conner Reeves and he works for an undercover Bodyguard Institute.
He saves Mr. Sterling, a multimillionaire's, twin daughters and saves Mr. Sterling from going bankrupt as the pirates were demanding a $100 million, and after the ransom was paid, they were going to hand over the girls to a group of terrorists to kill them.
I would recommend this book to children at the age of 11-13. I rate this book 4 1/2 stars.

I even Funnier - James Patterson


This is the second book in the I Funny series. It is about a boy Jamie Grimm, who lost his parents and his little sister in a car accident. His legs got immobilized and he was taken in by his cousins, the Smileys. He wants to become a comedian and enters a competition for the Planet’s Funniest Kid Comic. He gets through the semi-finals in Las-Vegas. But he has to pull out as his uncle has a mild heart attack. He does a big performance in school though, and posts it on YouTube. The judges chose him to compete in the Finals as a wild card contestant.
I would recommend this book to children the age of 10 – 12.

Agent 21 - Chris Ryan

Zak Darke becomes goes undercover for a secret agency with the codename Agent 21. His is presumed to be dead, which is all planed out. He has a new life as Harry Gold. This book is about his first mission - taking out a drug producer and mass murderer, Cesar Martinez Toledo, in Mexico. He doesn't know just yet that he was the murderer of his parents, in Nigeria. Harry has to go to Mexico and become Martinez's son, Cruz's, best friend, so that he can get close to Martinez and get evidence of his activities. In the end Martinez is killed while the agents are trying to nab him. Cruz takes over the company and vows to get his revenge on Agent 21, with his life.
I would recommend this book to children at the off 11-13. I rate this book 4 1/2 stars.

Hunger-Micheal Grant

 

This is the second book in the Gone series. All adults have disappeared and life ends at the age of fifteen. Fear explodes into desperation as starvation steps in. More kids are devolving strange powers, and so are the animals.
Also, the children from coyotes are trying to rule all the children in the FAYZ. And in the background, in an abandoned mineshaft, lies the greatest danger of all - the Gaiaphage. And he needs to be fed with nuclear gas.
I would recommend this book to children at the off 11-13. 
I rate this book 3 stars.

Mummies and Mahyem - Terry Deary

This book is a collection of stories based on actual Egyptian facts. 
In the first one a band of tomb robbers set their sights on Tutankhamen's tomb. During their getaway they are caught by the captain of the place guard.
In the next one, a young mummy maker saves a cat from death. Also she manages convince her brother that she is a magician.
In the third story, a poor trainee scribe becomes a ghost hunter and manages to buy his dad a new fishing boat.
In the final story, the builders of the Great Pyramid rebel against a cruel overseer  who almost dies.
I would recommend this book to children at the age of 9 - 11. 
I rate this book 3 stars.
